Richthofen during the Kaiser military parade, 20 August. Although a military event that required attendance, photographs such as this reveal light-hearted moments in which Richthofen freely mingled with comrades. Here, a smiling Richthofen walks with Rudolf Berthold (left) and Eduard Dostler (over Richthofen's left shoulder).
